Drug Related Intimidation Reporting Programme:

Throughout the country, and within each Garda Division there are specially trained Garda Inspectors who will:

  • Meet you confidentially & safely at a location that suits you.
  • Provide practical safety information.
  • Listen to your particular experience of intimidation and discuss options available to you.
  • Give information on a range of  drug supports  in your local area if required.
  • Outline the process if you choose to make a formal complaint to An Garda Síochána

An Garda Síochána will offer the following:

  • Confidentiality
  • Practical safety information
  • Advice in relation to particular threats or instances of intimidation
  • Information on appropriate drug support services for the individual in the family who is accruing drug debts
  • How to make a formal complaint, what is involved, what happens after and possible outcomes.

It is the decision of the person being intimidated if they want to make a formal complaint or not.
